One of the strongest icons of the fashion world, CHANEL’s little black jacket is celebrated in this exhibition of photographs by Karl Lagerfeld, La Petite Veste Noire: Un classique de CHANEL revisité par Karl Lagerfeld et Carine Roitfeld, that will open at the Grand Palais in Paris in the 10th of November and run through 25th of November 2012.

Following on from exhibition in Tokyo, New York, Taipei and Hong Kong, and soon in London and Moscow, the Grand Palais was a natural choice for Karl Lagerfeld to present this special event in Paris. “I love the Grand Palais, it’s a unique place. For me, it is the heart of Paris”, said the designer.

Karl Lagerfeld illustrates in over 100 photographs a range of international artists, like Vanessa Paradis, Alice Dellal, Maïwenn and Clémence Poésy who all adapt this unique jacket to their own style. Through these photographs Karl Lagerfeld underlines the modernity, timelessness and contemporary spirit of the jacket.
